This section details the Hazards at East Ham.
East Ham is a very busy Depot, with many hazards.
When working at the depot you must remain vigilant and aware of your surroundings at all times.
The OLE is energised to 25Kv and is very dangerous.
You must remain at least 2.75m or 9 Feet from the OLE at all times.
Forklif Trucks are in constant use inside and outside the Shed.
Being distracted can lead to serious injury. Mobile phone use is acceptable as long as you remain somewhere safe preferably within office areas.
Cranes are in operation on 9 and 11 Roads. When in use you may be directed away from the area.
Pits are used to maintain the underframe of trains. In some areas of the depot they can be deeper such as 8 Road wheel drop area.
Trains are near silent when moving at low speeds. Look out for Train Movement Warning Lights.
