Safe Walking Within the Shed

Safe walking routes within the Shed are marked in Green.

Red Areas highlighted with Yellow lines indicate Danger.

Areas designated for storage are painted Grey.

Raised Platforms

Raised platforms at the depot can only be used if a train is available on at least one side.

When walking on raised platforms you must remain "Trainside" of the platform.

Position of Safety

A position of safety is a term used to describe the distance you must remain from a train if it where moving.

You should remain at least 1.25 meters from the nearest running rail (track), until the train has passed.

Other Areas

Other areas of the depot such as the Yard and Carpark do have designated Safe Walking Routes.

Please familiarise yourself with depot plans located on the Health & Safety Notice Board.
