PPE Requirements

PPE

PPE stands for Personal Protection Equipment.

East Ham has a minimal PPE requirement for working inside the Shed and Yard.

Inside the Shed

As a minimum you are required to wear:

• High-Vis Vest
• Safety Boots
• Safety Glasses (When Working)

Outside in the Yard

When in the Yard you are required to wear:

• High-Vis Vest
• Safety Boots
• Safety Glasses (When Working)

Sentinel Card holders will be required to adhere to Network Rail Standards.

Working in Pits

In addition to the standard Shed requirements you will be required to wear a Hard Hat or Bump Cap.

Other PPE

Other PPE specific to the task you are conducting will be detailed within your Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
